Prachanda, whose real name is Pushpa Kamal Dahal, is a Nepalese politician who served as the Prime Minister of Nepal thrice, first from 2008 to 2009 , from 2016 to 2017 and is a current 2023- on wards. He is the leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist-Center) and has been a central figure in Nepalese politics for many years.

It has been alleged that they diverted the funds to their own accounts, and that the money did not reach the people who needed it.
These allegations of corruption against Prachanda have not been proven in a court of law, and he has denied any wrongdoing.
